Telematics installer RS Connect is celebrating its one millionth installation booking.
The team marked the major milestone when it installed an OBD (on-board diagnostics) device into a Volkswagen Passat on behalf of roadside assistance specialist and insurer RAC. The vehicle was supplied to a fleet customer by Volkswagen Financial Services.
Volkswagen Financial Services - Fleet has worked with the RAC as its telematics partner for almost two years. The RAC devices installed by RS Connect will enable Volkswagen Group’s finance and insurance services business to deliver greater efficiencies in its service maintenance and repair management by providing detailed information of vehicle faults.
The one millionth booking milestone follows a contract signed with the RAC to install its telematics product to VWFS as part of its insurance and fleet customer base.
RS Connect is looking to expand their relationship with the motoring and insurance leader further by fitting other safety technologies, such as dashboard camera systems, in 2016.
