West Midlands Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust has introduced Terraclean engine cleaning technology as a preventative maintenance measure across its fleet.
Running a fleet of 360 Ambulances and 175 cars, covering Birmingham, Black Country, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Warwickshire, West Midlands Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust has introduced the TerraClean system to support vehicles prone to accumulating high mileage and increased engine carbon build-up.
The Trust is using the TerraClean engine cleaning machine, which is connected directly to a vehicle’s fuel rail, for preventative maintenance to reduce this threat and ensure each vehicle runs smoothly.
Martin Dowd, managing director of Randstad, TerraClean distributor, said: “As the service significantly increases MPG by up to 15 percent, reduces emissions and extends component life, it is a must for fleet operators looking to maintain the performance of their vehicles and save both time and money.”
