HMRC has revised several of its advisory fuel rates (AFRs) upwards, to take effect from next week.
Rates for diesel-powered vehicles below 1600cc and above 2000cc have increased by one pence per mile.
Petrol bands for vehicles above 1400cc have also increased by one pence per mile.

About a penny short of what it should have been considering the current higher prices have been with us quite a while, some driver will have subsidised their business mileage from their own pockets. Another penny would have helped balance it until the next adjustment.
