The newly appointed managing director of supermarket fuelcard provider FuelGenie, Robert Pieczka, has vowed to focus on strong growth for the business.
Pieczka officially took up his new role yesterday (Wednesday, June 1) bringing a wealth of experience in marketing, sales, business development and partnership management to the company.
Prior to joining FuelGenie, Pieczka held the role of marketing and international group marketing director at BNP Paribas subsidiary Arval. Pieczka was also the MD of Allstar and oversaw the development and sale of the business to Fleetcor in 2011.
Speaking of his appointment to FuelGenie, a subsidiary of Worldline, he said: “I join FuelGenie at an exciting stage for the business, when there is great opportunity for growth.
“To encourage strong growth as we move forward we will develop our sales channels, including the cultivation of new partnership opportunities.
“We will work hand in hand with customers and partners, both large and small to continue offering an exceptional service, which in turn will help those companies to grow.”
Johnathan Astbury, director at Worldline, said: “We are delighted to bring Robert on board with FuelGenie. His arrival marks an important step for the business and we are looking forward to developing FuelGenie to further our offering in the fuelcard market.”
