Kwik Fit has won the Fleet Service Provider of the Year title at fleet leasing Alphabet GB’s inaugural Supplier Awards.
The two companies enjoy a business partnership stretching over more than 15 years, and the award was for Kwik Fit’s “collaborative approach” to the wide range of services provided, including the launch of new online initiatives all designed to improve fleet operating efficiencies.
Alphabet, which today manages an expanding fleet of almost 150,000 company cars and light commercial vehicles, uses Kwik Fit for services that include their tyre management platform and more recently MOT online booking and brake-related work.
Alphabet chief operating officer Matt Sutherland said: “Kwik Fit has a real collaborative approach to the service it provides and over the past 12 months we have increased the focus on its area of specialism and increased reporting requirements.
“Kwik Fit has really raised the bar in its area and also recently launched an online system to enable the booking of MoTs via our service booking team, saving time and effort for both the customer and the service advisor.”
The Supplier Awards took place in the surroundings of the Old Chapel at the Beaumont Estate, Old Windsor to recognise and celebrate the achievements of Alphabet’s network of service providers over the past 12 months. Hosted by Sutherland, along with comedian and TV personality, Ed Gamble, trophies were presented to the leading suppliers for the year in eight categories.
The awards were the culmination of a process which began last year when nominations were sought from across the entire Alphabet business and customer base. The nominations were then shortlisted and winners decided based on additional scoring criteria which included key performance indicator and satisfaction scores from Alphabet customer interactions.
Sutherland said: “The new world of business mobility - with its increased levels of complexity and connectivity, as well as the multitude of customer touchpoints and interactions - demands a strong network of like-minded, customer focused and innovative companies in order to meet the real-world challenges and demands.
“As a business we understand the vital role that our supplier partners play in delivering the sheer breadth of services that our customers require around the clock, 365 days a year. As a business we succeed or fail depending on the strength and quality of our third party relationships.
“To our customers, suppliers represent Alphabet and how they do so is absolutely vital to how customers feel about us and the service we provide. Alphabet’s mantra is ‘to keep the customer at the heart of everything we do’ and these Awards celebrated those supplier partners that demonstrate and deliver this on a daily basis.”
Collecting the Fleet Service Provider of the Year trophy was one of the first duties of recently appointed Kwik Fit GB fleet sales director Andy Fern.
He said: “It’s fantastic that Kwik Fit has been recognised by Alphabet in this way, there is a strong and longstanding relationship between the two companies.
“Kwik Fit is always looking to innovate and bring new solutions to the table, all without diverting focus away from our core strength of tyres.
“Alphabet has kindly recognised this with our award, and we look forward to continuing to work with them to even further advance the experience for their fleet customers.”
