There are just four weeks for nominations to be made for the 2017 Awards from ACFO, fleet decision-makers - not just ACFO members - being urged to nominate their top vehicles, initiatives and suppliers’ products and services.

Furthermore, ACFO is also urging members, motor manufacturers and fleet industry suppliers to book tables for the annual awards, which will take place on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

Once again, the awards dinner is being held at the St John’s Hotel, Warwick Road, Solihull, Birmingham.

The ACFO Awards are being held for the 34th consecutive year and nominations can be made for the very best in fleet across seven awards split into two categories.

The Fleet Service Company category, which is sponsored by Suzuki GB, includes awards for the:

  • Fleet Leasing Company of the Year
  • Fleet Service Company of the Year
  • Fleet Safety Initiative/Service of the Year.

Secondly, the Vehicle Manufacturer category embraces a further four awards:

  • Small Van of the Year, an award sponsored by Apollo Vredestein UK
  • Large Van of the Year, an award sponsored by Apollo Vredestein UK
  • Ultra-low Emission Vehicle of the Year
  • Fleet Car of the Year, an award sponsored by Marshall Leasing.

The charity partner at this year’s Awards evening is the Alzheimer’s Society, which raises money to improve the lives of people with dementia, invests in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention and campaigns to raise awareness of the illness and fights for the rights of everyone affected.

The evening’s guest speaker will be Louise Goodman, an award-winning TV presenter and journalist with more than 20 years of media and motor racing experience. She became known as ‘the first woman of Formula One’ after making her name as part ITV’s Grand Prix presentation team.

ACFO chairman John Pryor (pictured) said: “The popularity of the ACFO Awards continues to increase among members, motor manufacturers and fleet suppliers.

“Money raised through sponsorship and ticket sales is vitally important to ACFO as it help funds the work of the organisation through the year, including our popular seminar programme.

“Since launching the Awards in their current format, we have seen attendance increase year-on-year and we anticipate another sell-out and an exciting night as we name the top suppliers, best initiatives and best company vehicles in the view of ACFO members in 2017.”

Both ACFO members and non-members should make their nominations in each category online at www.acfo.org/awards/nominate by September 8, 2017. Once the nominations list has been compiled, ACFO members only will then be asked to vote for their winner in each of the seven categories.

Meanwhile, table bookings, as well as details of Awards’ evening sponsorship opportunities, can be made by contacting ACFO on 01865 342102, via email info@acfo.org or through the ACFO website www.acfo.org.
