CLM Fleet Management has appointed experienced automotive executive, John Lawrence, as its new managing director.
Lawrence has over 23 years’ experience in the automotive industry with roles encompassing daily rental, vehicle manufacturing, fleet services and technology.
He said: “We see CLM developing as a more technologically focused business and have exciting plans to develop the company, levering the scale of the wider Maxxia Group.
“We currently have about 15,000 vehicles under management but I see no reason why we cannot take that volume forward significantly over the next couple of years.
“Our objective will be to continue to delight our existing customers, who will continue to be at the heart of everything we do, but also to widen our appeal to fresh customers who do not necessarily appreciate the full benefits of outsourcing their fleets to us.
“We will also be looking at expanding our range of fleet-related services and we will see more investment in technology to help us achieve that. A key objective will be to take our customers on that journey with us so that they better understand the benefits that technology can deliver.”
Lawrence said that amongst the areas of focus would be managing logistics for customers, the SME market and enhanced support for driver services.
“Though our customer base is made up of fleets with anything from 100 - 2,000 vehicles, we want to see our products and services become more easily and readily accessible, especially in the SME space where it should be possible for smaller companies to access fleet management products at the push of a button,” he said.
“We also want to enhance our support for drivers and make everything easier and simpler for them, too.”
