Brake has invited all organisations with employees who drive for work to take part in its annual fleet safety survey.
The survey, conducted by Brake Professional with the support of Licence Bureau, will focus on organisation's policies and procedures regarding protecting vulnerable road users (pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists).
Brake’s senior fleet officer Sarah Plumb said: “All fleets have responsibility and a duty of care to protect those most vulnerable on our roads.
“The survey provides organisations with a great opportunity to benchmark themselves again industry safety standards. I would encourage any organisations with at-work drivers to take fifteen minutes out of their day to complete the survey.”
Licence Bureau’s marketing director Mike Reed said: “Knowledge is king and being able to understand and target areas of weakness and strategy in such changing times is vital to sustainable growth and safety in all sectors.
“This year’s survey topic is vulnerable road users (VRU), last covered in 2014, we now have vastly increased numbers of cyclists, changes to infrastructure and a very different approach to sentencing.
“I welcome this survey and look forward to the results which will assist the efforts being made to protect vulnerable road users.”
Taking part in the fleet safety survey is free and anonymous and all organisations who take part will receive a free copy of the survey report and results.
The survey takes just 15 minutes to complete and will close on September 24, 2018.
