The inaugural Smart Transport Conference and Exhibition, backed by Fleet News, will connect Government and local authority policymakers with fleet decision-makers and technology providers in the mobility sector.

The event, supported by the Campaign for Better Transport, will focus on finding solutions to the shared challenges facing government and business. It will be held on February 5, 2019, at the etc.venues County Hall in London.

The development of intelligent transport technologies has been dominated by multiple distinct verticals, such as smart ticketing and data management systems, many of which are not solutions linked to the challenges facing urban transport planners.

Smart Transport aims to foster the stronger collaboration between policymakers and key private sector companies that is vital for knowledge transfer and to facilitate the creation of practical solutions.

The event will offer fleet decision-makers, travel managers and mobility specialists an opportunity to gain insight from a diverse range of senior speakers who will cut through the silos and focus on implementation.

Key conference themes include: objectives of UK transport policy, planning the short-term to deliver long-term objectives, the ethics of smart transport, and collaboration and partnership.

Smart Transport is brought to you by Europe’s largest privately owned media group, Bauer Media, and its B2B media division which specialises in the rail and automotive markets with leading print, digital and event businesses including Rail, Rail Review, Fleet News and Automotive Management.

“By making more use of new technologies we can improve passenger experience; create better ticketing systems; reduce journey times; make smarter transport investment choices; and tackle our congested roads by reducing the number of vehicles using them. That’s why we are delighted to be an associate sponsor of the Smart Transport Conference”
