Kings Secure Technologies is to issue all its remote workers with Lone Worker Solutions’s Safe Hub app to help protect them from harm.

The company, which embraces technology to improve the safety of its drivers, found there was a growing concern over the number of employees working night shifts, where small teams of engineers are working in large buildings.

In response to this, Kings has ensured that all remote workers use the Safe Hub app on their smart devices.

This is a locate-and-respond protection system for people who work alone or out of sight of colleagues.

It offers a package of features including emergency, buddy, reactive, proactive, broadcast and virtual barrier protection for all lone working scenarios.

Statistics show workplace violence has increased over the past seven years, with more than 350,000 workers exposed to threats and more than 250,000 victims of assault in the workplace in 2017.
