Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) has launched a new fleet management app.
The app, provided by FORS’ Affinity Partner FleetCheck, allows drivers to directly submit a range of data, including fit-to-drive declarations, input fuel purchases, and report incidents.
The app can be used to submit daily walk around check information instantly to their fleet department, helping to eliminate paper-based checks, by providing fleets with a robust audit trail of the complete inspection process, including automated inspection scheduling, instant visibility of missed inspections, and bespoke inspection routines for specialist equipment.
FORS’ business service manager Paul Wilkes said: “Daily walk around checks are a fundamental element of modern fleet management, irrespective of fleet size or type, and FORS members rely on accurate reporting and measurement to gain and maintain FORS accreditation.
“Now the FORS FMS Mobile app is available on both iOS and Android devices, it will help more members accurately record and submit this vital data, without the need for additional paperwork.”
The FORS Fleet Management Service (FMS) mobile app includes a daily vehicle walk around checklist which helps members meet requirement the 'V2 Daily walk around checks' as set out in the FORS Standard version 5.
The app also allows drivers to submit fit-to-drive declarations, upload photographic evidence of any vehicle damage and defects, report incidents and record fuel purchases.
Drivers can upload tyre tread and depth information, and collect mileage figures for accurate service, maintenance, and repair schedule management.
