Aston Barclay is introducing a new employee wellbeing programme inspired by the mindset of special forces operatives and elite military units.
The Break-Point Prime Evolution programme, designed by Ollie Ollerton, special forces soldier and star of TV show SAS: Who Dares Wins, merges military special forces operational planning and tactics to help business and individuals achieve their long-term goals.
Aston Barclay’s Group chief executive, Neil Hodson, said: “With an increasing awareness of mental health and general wellbeing within the workplace we are delighted to work with Ollie in bringing this employee initiative to life.”
Coinciding with Mental Health Awareness Week (May 13 to 19) Aston Barclay's new initiative targets health from multiple angles by focusing on mindset, bodily movement and nutrition.
It has been produced and designed by a team of qualified experts including fitness and wellbeing expert David Tilston and nutritionist Holly Brown.
The first Aston Barclay site to go live with the programme was its new Wakefield auction super centre which saw Ollie and David personally visit the site and work with nearly 50 of the team.
Stephanie Grace, HR director at Aston Barclay, said: “The physical and mental wellbeing of our people is critical to us as a business.
"One-in-four people experience mental health issues and we want a culture that encourages colleagues to talk to each other and seek support when they need it.”
Prime Evolution is one of a series of programmes Aston Barclay offers across its business to support employee mental health and wellbeing, including training for its management team supported by BEN – the automotive industry’s support charity.
