NHS out-of-hours GP service Medvivo has added 12 new Skodas to service patients in the South West.
The company has been commissioned to deliver primary medical services outside normal working hours to those in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire.
It has opted for seven Skoda Octavia Scouts, two Kodiaqs and three Karoqs.
Jerry Hollands, from Medvivo said: “Our clinicians provide an important service to NHS patients in their own home and our fleet of vehicles is the backbone of that support system. The vehicles have been with us a few weeks and already I’ve had fantastic feedback from drivers who are impressed by the cars.”
Load space was a crucial factor in the decision as the vehicle must carry a variety of medical equipment and passengers.
Medvivo has a fleet of 22 vehicles and said low running costs were an important factor to the business, which worked alongside Lookers Leasing and Skoda fleet to create a full-service package.
