National Windscreens is continuing to expand its national network with two new purpose-designed workshops in Sheffield and Chelmsford.
The expansion forms part of an ongoing UK-wide investment to meet the huge demand for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration following windscreen replacement.
As part of a national network of 108 centres, the new workshops offer the facility to undertake windscreen replacement and ADAS calibration.
The new centre in Sheffield replaces the previous well-established site in the town centre.
National Windscreens said that the primary objectives of the relocation were to provide customers with easier access, along with more spacious, practical workshop conditions to accommodate the growing number of ADAS calibrations being undertaken.
Will Clay, regional operations manager for Sheffield, explained: “The old fitting centre no longer met our required standards for an accessible, modern workshop, so it was important that we relocated as soon as possible to maximize customer convenience.
“The new workshop offers a spacious design, which not only looks fantastic, but provides a much better customer experience too.
“The staff are incredibly proud of their new fitting centre; it has definitely boosted the general morale. All in all, relocating has been a very positive experience for all concerned, especially our customers.”
Terry Liddard, regional operations manager for Chelmsford, said he was “thrilled” with the opening of the new fitting centre in the town.
He added: “We have invested in state of the art equipment, to provide the highest possible level of service.
“The centre’s manager, Ian, started with National Windscreens back in 2007 as a trainee technician and is now the fitting centre manager.
“Ian and his team offer a very warm welcome to the conveniently situated workshop for all motorists in the area.”
With 800 mobile technicians in the UK, more than 250 are now qualified to national ADAS calibration industry standards and are forecast to service over 40,000 ADAS customers this year.
National Windscreens is continually investing in training, technology and purpose-designed workshops, to stay ahead of the fast-changing demand in vehicle technology, it said.
The new centre in Sheffield, managed by Duane Mannion, is located at Unit 4 Flockton Park, Holbrook Industrial Est, Sheffield.
Chelmsford’s new centre, managed by Ian Rattu, can be found at Unit 15, 4 Cromar Way, Chelmsford.
