IT services provider Barron McCann has taken delivery of 80 new Peugeots as it invests £2 million in a new company car fleet.
The new fleet comprises of 68 308 SWs and 12 3008s. All of the new cars are powered by Peugeot’s 1.5-litre BlueHDI 130 diesel engine.
“Our customers expect and deserve the very highest service levels and a modern, well-maintained vehicle fleet plays a critical role in delivering that performance,” said Richard Johnson, leader – Procurement & Supply Chain at Barron McCann.
“Each vehicle is equipped with technology that helps us to reduce travelling time and distance, provides driving efficiency recommendations, and minimises emissions when queueing in busy areas.
“In addition, we have specified driver aids such as blind spot assistance, front and back proximity sensors, reversing cameras and drive time indicators, all with the intent of improving the driving experience of our engineers. We are proud to be fleet partners once again with Peugeot,” Johnson added.
The 308 comes with electric and heated door mirrors, multi-function trip computer, i-Cockpit, remote central locking, 60/40 folding rear seats, DAB, USB and Bluetooth as standard.
Barron McCann opted for Allure specification, which addsan alarm, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, Mirror Screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, sat-nav, electric folding door mirrors, aluminium roof bars and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The 3008 models will be used by the company’s team leaders. They all feature EAT8 eight-speed automatic transmission and have been supplied with a mix of Allure and GT Line specification.
“The 308 SW has proved to be a popular choice for many fleets, providing flexible accommodation, driver appeal and low cost of ownership with low emissions”, said Martin Gurney, fleet director at Peugoet, Citroën and DS Automobiles. “Not surprisingly, we think that Barron McCann has made an excellent choice and together with the 3008 SUV models present a modern, stylish fleet that will enhance the company’s image.”
The latest additions to the 3008 SUV model range are the 3008 SUV Hybrid and 3008 SUV GT Hybrid4. Both are available to order now, in addition to the all-new 508 Hybrid and all-new 508 SW Hybrid. The new plug-in hybrid models demonstrate the next phase in PEUGEOT’s commitment to launch electrified versions of all models by 2023.
