ARI has promoted Rory Mackinnon to the role of UK sales director as previous incumbent Jason Chamberlain leaves to join Rivus Fleet Solutions.
Mackinnon has served as head of asset funding, since joining ARI in 2016 from GE Capital.
He will now oversee the development and growth of ARI’s fleet portfolio across the United Kingdom, with all of the fleet services provider’s business development managers reporting directly to him.
“Rory has been instrumental in the development and growth of our business over the last two years, consistently balancing keen leadership and business acumen with a drive for results,” said ARI Managing Director Nick Caller. “I believe Rory is without question, the right person to now lead our overall sales efforts and inject a true winning mentality and delivery of business outcomes for our customers.”
Chamberlain previously worked for BT Fleet, the forerunner to Rivus, between 2011 and 2013 before joining ARI.
In his new role, Chamberlain will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to the sales, marketing and bid teams, and will contribute to the overall growth strategy – helping the business to achieve further success in the UK
Chamberlain said: “After meeting with the Rivus leadership team, my decision to join the business was easy. The investment, strategic vision, and clear desire to further build on the success of this business was compelling – and it was simply a challenge I couldn’t resist.
“Rivus is strongly represented by its people, who are both respected and viewed as industry experts in the fleet management sector. This is an opportunity to work with a great group of people – and to do so at an exciting time, with new technologies available and ever-changing needs of a diverse marketplace.”
ARI UK’s Nimesh Chauhan has also been promoted, and will serve as head of client relations. He has been with ARI since 2017, serving first as strategic account manager and then manager of Account Management.
Chauhan holds degrees in Sales from University of Sunderland and a BA in Business Management from Coventry University. In his new role, Nimesh will lead ARI’s Client Relations team in its client-focused directives.
