Fuel management solutions provider The Fuel Store has added 3,000 new fuel sites to its network with the addition of the Esso Card National Card.
The partnership allows the company to boost its inner-city presence, allowing it to broaden its customer base and add a wider range of fleets to its portfolio, including car fleets.
It sees The Fuel Store increase its reach by 50% and, combined with its existing Keyfuels network, will give its customers access to more than 6,500 fuel sites across the UK including more than 1,000 Shell and more than 1,230 BP sites.
Jamie Bridgen, founder of the Fuel Store, said: “Expanding to inner-city fuel sites has been on our radar for a while and we are excited to finally get it off the ground.
“It is an important next step for The Fuel Store that will support our vision by extending our reach into the car fleet market.”
The partnership will also allow The Fuel Store’s customers to collect loyalty points at participating supermarket sites as well as gain access to the e-route Station Finder app, which highlights fuel stations along a route.
Rob Hendry, country director at Wex UK, said: “As custodians of the Esso fuel card brand across UK and Europe, Wex’s commitment to building long-term sustainable relationships with their UK Partners remains as strong as ever.
“Our partnership with Jamie and the team at The Fuel Store is a perfect fit for the continued growth of the Esso Fuel Card Brand in the UK.”
