Licence Check launches new fleet management solution
Licence Check has launched Fleet+, a new fleet management solution within its DAVIS platform.
The company said the self-serve digital solution provides insight and fleet intelligence into fleet management issues through its consolidation of data, fleet analysis and dashboards.
Areas covered include lifecycle management of owned and leased vehicles, mileage management, CO2 emission analysis, accident management and fleet compliance, with an emphasis on risk, efficiency, and sustainability.
The launch will be followed with planned enhancements within the accident management area and the introduction of fuel and rental vehicle management solutions, Licence Check said.
Keith Allen, Licence Check managing director (MD), said: “Fleet+ clients will benefit from all the first-class features within DAVIS with the added benefit of all data sets talking to each other and, therefore, providing a consolidated picture of both driver and vehicle risk and compliance in one place.
“Many fleet software products tend to be over-engineered and far too complex for the needs of many fleets’ operators. Given that our core value is simplicity, we wanted to develop a fleet management service that was uncomplicated, intuitive, and easy to use.”
SSE Energy Solutions signs up roaming network partner
SSE Energy Solutions has agreed a deal with electric vehicle (EV) fleet fuel card company, Paua, to enable customers to use SSE’s EV charging network.
As a result of the deal, Paua drivers will be able to use SSE ultra-fast charging hubs and charge with their Paua card.
The fuel card can be used at the first of SSE’s hubs on Glasgow’s Castlebank Street which went live in September.
Simon Pickett, SSE Energy Solutions EV technology and innovation lead, said: “This is a great opportunity for SSE Energy Solutions and Paua to collaborate, supporting fleet charging with as little fuss as possible. We are 100% committed in the battle to reach net zero. Anything that encourages the uptake of EVs and makes charging access and experiences easier is good news for us all.
“We will continue to develop our relationship with Paua and other pioneering partners to bring more sites online and give both private drivers and fleet operators access to the services they need as quickly as possible.”

Shoreham Vehicle Auctions (SVA) 'closer to becoming carbon neutral'
Shoreham Vehicle Auctions (SVA) has said it is closer to becoming a carbon neutral business with the switching on of its bank of 135 solar panels.
The panels installed by MHE will produce 50KW of clean zero carbon energy to provide electricity to the site as well as power the site’s new chargers.
The switch on coincides with SVA’s bank of 15 Wallbox EV chargers going live to power the growing number of EVs being sold at auction and to power SVA’s own company vehicle fleet.
SVA said 90% of its company car and minibus fleet are electric and the chargers will also cater for vendors and buyers visiting the site with electric cars.
Alex Wright, SVA’s MD said: “This is another milestone in our bid to become carbon neutral and they would have gone live a little sooner if we had not of been held up by component delays.
“We are based on the south coast so benefit from lots of sunshine, so it seemed a practical solution, even if we did have to invest in a brand-new roof to cope with the addition weight of the panels.”
