Fox Brothers Holdings UK has invested more than half-a-million pounds in Samsara artificial intelligence (AI) dashcams to reinforce its focus on road safety.
The telematics technology has been installed across the entire fleet of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and company vans, including those operated by Fox Brothers Lancashire, Hurt Plant Hire and JJ O’Grady's Civils.
The installation process, started in mid-July and completed last month (September) has seen more than 250 company vehicles equipped with the dashcams, which provide proactive insights into driver behaviors.
The real-time data and analytics generated by these devices will enable Fox Brothers Holdings UK to educate and train drivers.
“The safety of our drivers and members of the public is paramount,” said Simon Colderley, transport compliance manager of Fox Brothers UK.
“By integrating Samsara AI dashcams into our fleet, we are taking a proactive step towards ensuring the highest of safety standards.
“This investment not only underscores our commitment to road safety but also positions us as a leader in responsible commercial vehicle operations.”
The Samsara AI dashcams include real-time safety alerts and automated incident detection, allowing immediate feedback and continuous improvement in driver performance, with the aim of reducing the risk of accidents and enhancing overall fleet safety.
