FMG Repair Services has appointed Paul Wrigglesworth as managing director after being operations director with the business since 2022.

With 37 years of experience in the bodyshop industry, successfully leading teams in some of the UK’s largest accident repair groups, the appointment is effective immediately.

Since joining the FMG Repair Services business, Wrigglesworth has played a vital role in driving performance optimisation through technological innovation and best practice processes across the repair group. He’s also been pivotal in the attraction and retention of fresh talent into the industry, positioning FMGRS as an employer of choice through supporting and partnering on a broad range of automotive initiatives.

Harvey Stead, chief operating officer of parent company Zigup, said: “We’re fortunate to have the talent and calibre to promote from within. Paul’s track record along with his wealth of experience in the repair industry make him the right person to lead the business going forward.

“As managing director, he will provide strategic direction and leadership to navigate the business and leverage the opportunities to deliver against our plans.”

Wrigglesworth added: “I’m delighted by the opportunity to take the reins now, at a time when we have laid solid foundations.

“The industry is navigating a period of significant innovation and technological advancement at pace and with agility.

“I will be focussed on successfully leading the business through this evolution, ensuring delivery of the highest levels of service our partners have come to expect, whilst also ensuring support of the wider industry with these advancements.”

Wrigglesworth succeeds Claire Owens, who recently announced she would be stepping down from the role to explore new opportunities beyond the Group. The announcement signals continuity for the business.
