FMG Repair Services has added another new accident repair centre to its network.
The new site in Dundee aims to strengthen repair capacity throughout the Tayside, Fife and Angus regions, in the latest stage of the company’s growth and site investment programme.
At 21,000 sq. ft, FMG Repair Services says that the bodyshop has the capability to repair standard vehicles and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) to meet the high demand it is seeing in the region.
There are large ramps, repair booths and specialist jigs designed for longer and heavier vans as well as standard bays, jigs and scissor lifts.
Equipment on-site also includes the latest ADAS repair technology and the ability for plastic repair and cosmetic aluminium repair on all types of vehicles including electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrids.
The new site replaces the company’s nearby Perth bodyshop and will employ the former site’s team of ATA-qualified technicians, along with new recruits.
Paul Wrigglesworth, managing director at FMG Repair Services, said: “We’re delighted to launch another new facility and bring additional repair capacity and specialist LCV capability to the Dundee area.
“Our new sites are designed to align with key industry developments whilst satisfying the specific demands of the local area, with fast, efficient and future-proof repair solutions for all modern vehicles and fuel types.
“Our extensive development phase at the Dundee site has resulted in an inspiring, state of the art environment to bring the Perth team back together and a fantastic asset for attracting new talent.
“As well as ongoing training for vehicle technicians, the entire Dundee team have completed customer service and continuous mobility training to ensure we deliver an outstanding experience to customers. We look forward to warmly welcoming new and existing customers from around the region to our new site.”
FMG Repair Services’ growth plans include investment and upgrade works planned for existing sites following the launch of four purpose developed sites in new locations in the past year.
The business employs more than 1,700 workers UK-wide, with the capability to repair in excess of 100,000 vehicles per annum.
