Guest Motor Group is integrating the dealership operations of Sherwood Truck and Van into Guest Truck and Van.

One of the UK’s largest Iveco and Fiat Professional dealership networks, the company says it will solidify its presence across the Midlands, East Anglian and northern regions.

The merger formalises a long-standing relationship between the two brands, which have operated under the group’s parent company since 2011.

Sherwood’s locations in Nottingham, Sheffield, Alfreton, Stoke-on-Trent and Winsford will now be fully rebranded Guest Truck and Van.

Robert Spittle (pictured), managing director of Guest Motor Group, said: “This brand integration is a natural progression in our ownership of Sherwood Truck and Van.

“Our customers already know and trust the Guest brand, and now we’re reinforcing that trust by uniting our operations under one cohesive identity.

“The same great relationship they’ve come to expect from both brands will continue without disruption."

The move, says Guest Motor Group, aligns with its philosophy of delivering complete automotive solutions, from sales to fleet management, to a wide range of commercial customers.

Sherwood’s customers will still have direct access to Guest’s offerings including Distrigo Parts and Vehicle Lining Services.

The group’s fleet management arm Sentinel will remain in the Sherwood Truck and Van Ltd entity.

Spittle continued: “While the branding will be changing, this is business as usual.

“Our ethos has always been to provide the highest quality automotive services, through fair and understanding interactions, from initial sale through to the ongoing management and care of entire fleets, regardless of size. This merger strengthens that promise.”

He also thanked staff for their support during the transition and its advisers Sarah Ward and Laura Crackle from George Green LLP.

The integration is part of Guest’s ongoing strategy to optimise its service offering while maintaining the ethos that has defined both brands.

Sherwood’s locations will continue to serve their regional markets with the same reliability, now under the unified Guest brand, it says.

As the UK logistics and commercial vehicle industry continues to evolve, it explained the merger marks a step forward for Guest Motor Group, enabling the company to offer an even stronger, more cohesive experience for commercial vehicle operators across its entire network.
