Point S reshuffles leadership team to fuel future growth
Point S Tyre and Autocare has announced significant changes to its leadership team as part of its ambitious plans for 2025 and beyond.
Ali Yilmaz has been appointed as the network’s new UK managing director.
Yilmaz joins Point S after almost eight years at Pirelli/Prometeon Tyre Group, where he most recently held the post of head of fleet development for Europe and MEA, following a term as the business’ UK managing Director.
His appointment follows Wayne Daniel’s promotion to Point S’s board of directors where his role will be to continue to contribute to strategic projects and provide support to Yilmaz and the Point S UK team.
In addition, Andy Tester has been promoted to business development manager, while Ben Herridge has taken on his previous role of regional sales manager (South).
Yilmaz said: “Point S has a unique vision to protect and grow the independent tyre dealers and auto repair centres that drive the UK’s automotive industry forward.
“I am eager to play my part in continuing to make this a reality and ensuring that Point S is the benchmark for automotive service and repair.

Executive leadership changes at Myenergi
Myenergi Group has appointed Andrew Clint as its new group CEO, effective from January 2025.
Clint brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in international businesses, having worked with many technology organisations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America and the Far East.
Peter Richardson, the current executive chairman, said that the board of Myenergi is delighted to have found somebody with the experience and the talents of Clint, who will be able to add “significant” leadership value to the organisation.
Clint added: “I am delighted to be joining the talented team at Myenergi to lead this successful international business into the next chapter of growth, through a relentless focus on delivery.

At the same time, Jordan Brompton, co-founder and current chief marketing officer at Myenergi, has decided that she wishes to pursue the next chapter in her entrepreneurial career path.
She will be giving up her executive role within the business but will remain on the board as a company director and shareholder.
Brompton said: “I’m delighted to still be supporting the business as a shareholder and look forward to continuing my work with the board.”
JP Paviour joins Shoreham Vehicle Auctions
Shoreham Vehicle Auctions (SVA) has welcomed experienced vehicle remarketing expert Jon-Paul Paviour to the team.
In addition to his auctioneering responsibilities at SVA’s three weekly sales, Paviour will focus on strengthening relationships with key dealer vendors and buyers across the southeast.
Paviour joins SVA having spent 24 years in management positions in various automotive remarketing firms and dealers, including as an auctioneer, buyer and dealer vendor.
Alex Wright, SVA’s managing director, said: “It’s great to have JP join our auction management team at SVA. He will bring a wealth of strong industry connections and add a fresh dynamic to support the growth across all areas of our business.”

Right Fuel Card welcomes Ben Campbell marketing director
Right Fuel Card, part of the Edenred group, has named Ben Campbell as its new marketing director.
He joins them with more than 10 years’ experience, working as the former head of marketing at Zeinith Vehicles and Zen.Auto.
Before this, he worked as the head of marketing at Bestway Retail for the Costcutter and Best-One brands as well as various other B2C and B2B businesses in West Yorkshire.
He will be responsible for overseeing all marketing activities, including brand management, digital marketing, and customer acquisition and engagement strategies.
He will also ensure alignment with Edenred’s overall business objectives and expand Right Fuel Card’s product proposition as they transition to a mobility solutions provider.
He said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the business at an incredibly exciting time as we continue to develop and strengthen our customer offer. We have a talented and capable team here and I’m looking forward to working across the business and with our customers and partners to achieve our mission of simplifying fuel management.”

Gofor appoints Patrycja Janisz as new head of finance
Gofor has appointed Patrycja Janisz as the company’s new head of finance.
An ACCA Affiliate and experienced finance professional, she joins Gofor with a strong track record in financial strategy, reporting and resource management, developed across the technology, data analytics and crypto assets sectors.
The head of finance role is a new one within Gofor. It explained that Janisz’s appointment is necessary to ensure the company’s financial and operational strategy is robust and scalable as it prepares for further growth in 2025.
She will report directly to managing director, Iain Bennett, and form part of Gofor’s senior leadership team.
Bennett said: “I’ve no doubt Patrycja will quickly become a vital member of our senior leadership team and wider business, enhancing the financial governance, accountability and framework that will underpin the next stage of our growth strategy.”

Global Auto Holdings appoints Alex Smith as chair of Lookers
Global Auto Holdings has appointed Alex Smith to the role of chair of Lookers.
Smith will also become a board member of Wismo Group (formerly KW Bruun Import) which GAHL acquired in 2024.
He joins the business following six years as managing director of Volkswagen Group UK where he was responsible for more than one in every five new cars and light commercial vehicles sold nationwide.
Smith also served as a vice president of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and is a former managing director of Nissan Motor Great Britain.

James Walker appointed iVendi’s VP banking alliances
James Walker has been appointed to the new position of VP banking alliances as iVendi’s number of lender partnerships grows.
He will head up the motor retail technology market leader’s banking alliances team, which builds relationships with the lenders to which it provides technology, ranging from domestic motor finance companies to international banks.
Walker has spent the last 13 years at Santander Consumer Finance, rising to become global account director, managing international relationships for digital retailers and marketplaces.
He said: “There’s a real energy, commitment and creativity at iVendi which has resulted in the creation of what I believe is a new, market-leading proposition for lenders, dealers and consumers in the motor finance sector, which resulted in a number of key sign-ups during the final quarter of 2024.
“My aim is to foster strong and mutually beneficial relationships with our finance partners, showing them how iVendi’s new point of sale products can contribute to their growth in an efficient and compliant manner, backed up with the deep data insights we can deliver.”
