The Mini Electric Concept will take to the stage at BMW’s Fleet Live stand this year, making its second public appearance in the UK.
Almost 10 years after the Mini E laid the foundations for production-standard battery electric vehicles within the BMW Group, Mini is now offering a window on the future of urban electric mobility.
With a focus on driving excitement and inspiring design, the Mini Electric Concept moves the brand’s urban tradition into the electric age.
David George, director of Mini UK, said: “We are delighted to bring the Mini Electric Concept to Fleet Live 2018, as it represents the brand’s next step on its electrification journey. The MINI Countryman PHEV has been a runaway success with fleet customers this year, demonstrating a strong demand for electrified vehicles. This is the first opportunity for many fleet decision-makers to see the future of our brand up close ahead of the fully electric Mini Hatch unveil in 2019.”
Visitors to Fleet Live will be able to learn more about BMW and Mini’s electrification strategy and the existing models available, which includes the i3, 530e and Mini Countryman plug-in hybrid.
As a wave of new legislation and regulation hurtles towards the fleet sector, fleet decision-makers will have the opportunity to hear from experts and discuss issues with their peers at this year’s Fleet Live.
Clean air zones (CAZs), the new Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), and the fresh set of data protection rules encapsulated by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will all have an impact on fleet decisions made today.
These issues, and many more, will be addressed in detail at Fleet Live.
The event gives fleet decision-makers of all levels of experience a chance to listen, learn and share their thoughts and actions on the topics influencing the fleet sector. Focused on executives from a fleet, purchasing and finance background, Fleet Live will deliver insight and advice on how to run an effective, efficient fleet.
Fleet Live takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on October 9 and 10. For more information and to register for your complimentary place, please visit the dedicated website here.
