VisionTrack has hired Vernon Bonser as new European sales director. The provider of connected vehicle cameras and video telematics is hoping to develop its international growth with the appointment.

Bonser will bring more than 20 years of experience to the new role. He will be looking to develop an infrastructure to target both direct and indirect sales.

He joins from TomTom Telematics, in which he spent eight years working in many senior sales roles. His previous role was as head of corporate business UK and ROI. He led the growth of TomTom Telematics’ portfolio of clients, whilst developing strategic partnerships.

The new sales director, Bonser, said: “Connected vehicle camera solutions are transforming the fleet telematics marketplace, so I am excited to be joining the industry leader within this rapidly developing field.

“There is huge potential for video telematics, especially within mainland Europe, as recognition grows about the safety and financial benefits the technology can provide.”

“I will use my current experience and relationships to take full advantage of the opportunities that exist.”

VisionTrack offers a wide range of advanced technology. It helps to protect vehicles, assets, staff and reputation.

These solutions aim to deliver value to any size of fleet or transport operation. Road safety, reduced insurance costs, enhanced duty of care, lower operational risk, improved driver behaviour and increased fleet efficiency are some of the tasks Bonser will look to further develop.

Simon Marsh, managing director of VisionTrack, said: “We are committed to building on our continued growth and industry-leading position by attracting the best people to the business.

“Vernon brings an in-depth understanding of how to leverage technology to yield the greatest returns for our clients and partners.”

“This expertise combined with his comprehensive knowledge of international business best practice means he will be a valuable addition to our senior team and play an important part in our success moving forward.”
