The Dudman Group has cut more than £44,000 a year off its administration costs by adopting a TomTom Telematics paperless workflow app.

The aggregate and ready-mixed concrete supplier is using the TomTom Pro 8275 driver terminal and AllOnMobile software app to digitise paper-based admin, including the creation of quality-certified delivery tickets.

The seven-inch terminal connects to Webfleet, the TomTom Telematics fleet management platform.

“Delivery tickets are a vital part of our service standards,” said Chris Brant, managing director of the Dudman Group.

“By digitally generating these with the AllOnMobile app for customers to sign electronically we’ve not only reduced our administrative burden but have also cut loading time at our plant.”

Drivers can now leave the plant as soon as concrete is loaded and checked, without waiting for paper tickets and the cost of pre-printed multi-part tickets has been eliminated.

The terminal and app is also being used by workers to conduct daily vehicle checks with all information automatically sent back to the office, eliminating the need for a further paper trail.

Job schedules are automatically uploaded to the device with drivers navigated via truck-specific, routes directly to customers.
