Optimum Dental Studio has cut its third-party transport costs by up to 40% after implementing Magenta Technology's Maxoptra vehicle routing and scheduling system.
Optimum is a full service dental laboratory providing dental prostheses and implemented Maxoptra in order to improve customer service, maintain market competitiveness and reduce costs.
Tina Whatley, co-owner of Optimum Dental Studio, said: “Our original transport solution didn’t have any mapping,so we switched to TomTom, which was great for navigation and traffic updates.
"However, it didn’t help with the daily headache of scheduling deliveries and devising optimal routes, so we looked for a TomTom compatible solution.
“Maxoptra allows us to view the whole picture in an instant.
"Deliveries, collections and possible headaches are all there to see. Maxoptra gives us the intelligence to react and respond, allowing us to maintain our high levels of service while reducing costs.
"We have reduced the cost of third-party couriers – essential during peak demand – by up to 40%.”
Optimum Dental Studio, part of the Orchid Dental Studio group, has been in operation for more than 10 years and has grown as a full service dental laboratory with more than 250 regular clients.
Maxoptra is a fleet scheduling and route optimisation software platform designed to enable fast and efficient decision-making, in real-time, within ever-changing operational environments, particularly service management, supply chain, distribution and home delivery.
