Auction company Aston Barclay has recently completed a £750,000 investment programme at its Brook Lane site in Westbury.
Aston Barclay Westbury sells 1,500 cars and vans per month from its eight acre site which boasts improved facilities for buyers, improved staff offices and a new viewing gallery for its vendor customers.
Barry Watts, group operations director at Aston Barclay, said: “The business has grown over the past five years and we have invested money back into the site, which benefits both colleagues and customers. It’s probably the site’s biggest investment programme since it was first built by Westbury Motor Auctions in 1986”.
Westbury runs ten auctions per month, where local traders and consumers buy and sell a mix of stock from £500 up to £80,000. National leasing companies such as Alphabet, LeasePlan, Zenith, Ogilvie, PSA, Venson and Motability also use the site to sell ex-company cars and vans, which attract buyers from across the south-west of England.
Aston Barclay is a family run business with three other sites in Leeds, Prees Heath in Shropshire and Chelmsford, Essex. Westbury is renowned for its personal and friendly level of service from its 40 strong staff and thanks to a new online bidding service; buyers can purchase vehicles from any site.
Vehicle sellers can have their vehicle valeted or bodywork smart repaired on site to maximise its resale value. Westbury also runs its own in-house collection and delivery service for both buyers and sellers.
Visitors to Aston Barclay Westbury have access to free customer parking and Wi-Fi and its cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner where auction goers meet to discuss the latest prices and vehicle disposal trends.
“The team at Westbury are proud of their new modern site. Our investment has put both the auction and the town on the map”, said Watts, who has worked in the vehicle auction industry for over 20 years.
