Dennison Bodyshop has expanded its premises and facilities in Northern Ireland as a result of increased customer demand.

The Ballyclare site has doubled its workspace from 18,000 to 36,000 sq ft by taking over the industrial unit next-door. The investment has cost in the region of £500,000.

At the heart of the new facility are commercial ovens that have the capacity to house all non-standard sizes of vehicle, including double-deck vehicles and full truck-and-trailer combinations.

To support the expansion Dennison Bodyshop has increased its staff to 19, the most that the business has ever employed.  Five of them are apprentices involved in ‘on-the-job’ training as part of a ‘Vehicle Body & Paint Operation’ body repair course with Riverpark Training.

Consideration was also given to energy efficiency, sustainability and environmental impact when selecting new facilities.  Most of the Bodyshop’s heating requirements come from renewable sources, and a switch to LED lights, means lighting costs will be reduced by almost 80%.
