FORS has launched a new webinar designed to help fleet operators gain and maintain FORS Bronze accreditation.

The Going for Bronze live webinar will allow delegates to participate from anywhere in the country and is open to new and existing FORS members.

Sonia Hayward, FORS manager, said: “The webinar is a great addition to the online FORS Bronze audit toolkit and will be of great value to new members preparing for their first audit.

“We hope that the flexibility of a webinar means members will sign up to maximise their chances of getting their audit right first time. The sessions will  highlight what evidence the auditors will be looking for and what to expect on the day, as well as help members make the most of the FORS benefits, such as online templates, guides, toolkits and toolbox talks.”

The new one-hour FORS webinars are aimed at transport managers and operational staff preparing their operating centre’s Bronze audit, the first stage of the FORS accreditation process.

They will take place on July 30, August 28, September 25, October 23 and November 20, between 13:00 and 14:00.

The sessions, which can be booked via the FORS website, will talk delegates through the accreditation process, from booking an audit through to undertaking the audit itself, as well as provide specific guidance about some of the key requirements set out in the FORS Standard that must be met in order to pass the Bronze audit.  

FORS is planning a series of interactive sessions, which will also include Going for Silver and Going for Gold webinars. 

The webinars will run alongside the existing classroom-based workshops, held at locations across the UK.

Sonia Hayward added, “Our ‘Going for Bronze and Going for Silver and Gold’ classroom sessions continue to be popular. However, the webinars offer a flexible alternative option for people who cannot make the classroom dates, helping to reduce time away from the office and minimise the environmental impacts associated with travelling." 

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme established in 2008. It is open to UK and non-UK fleet operators, and to the organisations who award contracts to those operators. It currently has more than 5,000 members.
