Activate Group Ltd’s (AGL) network of approved vehicle repairers is offering fast-tracked services to NHS and fleet delivery drivers.
Repair shops are still permitted to remain open and operational during the coronavirus outbreak, provided they follow strict guidelines on social distancing and hygiene to help limit the spread of the virus.
AGL has a network of more than 250 body shops and its own body shop division, Activate Accident Repair, that have all responded swiftly to changes to ensure they can remain operational and provide essential services that keep corporate fleets and other key workers mobile.
AGL’s director of Network and Engineering, Peter McAninch, said: “These are undoubtedly the most challenging times we’ve ever experienced, but amidst it all, we’ve heard so many stories about our repair partners helping other key workers.
“From fast-tracking jobs to staying late to finish the job, AGL repairers up and down the country are going above and beyond to get key workers mobile again.”
AGL’s sopp+sopp business specialises in accident management for corporate fleets and looks after thousands of claims each year for supermarkets, utility companies and hauliers. It has one of the UK’s largest network of HGV and LCV repairers and operates 24/7/365, playing a key support role in keep the nation’s food supply chain moving.
McAninch added: “One thing remains a constant for AGL and our network - it’s about doing the right thing, so we’ll continue to do our best for our customers and prioritise those who most need our help.
“As we look ahead, we’re anticipating further challenges, specifically around sourcing the parts we require in order to repair vehicles. We are actively looking at ways to flex the supply chain guided by our partners to potentially increase the use of alternative or green parts to keep vehicles safe and mobile on our roads.”
