Rivus Fleet Solutions has made the decision to integrate Pullman Fleet Solutions and rebrand as Rivus from February 28.
Pullman Fleet Solutions, which is one of the largest providers of commercial HGV maintenance and fleet management services in the UK for brands such as Tesco, Morrisons and Wilko, was bought by the asset management firm Aurelius from Wincanton in November 2020.
Aurelius had acquired Rivus Fleet Solutions, which was formerly BT Fleet, in 2019.
The integration, says Rivus, combines decades of LCV, HGV, electric vehicle (EV) and specialist equipment fleet management expertise into one business, helping its nationwide customer base keep their vehicles managed, maintained and on the road.
David Myers (pictured), CEO of Rivus, said: “Rivus Fleet Solutions and Pullman Fleet have been leading names in the UK fleet industry for a number of years and although we have been working closely together as separate entities, now is the time to embark on our next exciting chapter and officially come together as one stronger, more integrated business.
“We are merging the talent of our teams and sharing expertise across one organisation, which makes us a clear choice for businesses looking to manage service, maintain and repair their fleets through a single provider – whatever their fleet size or type. It also brings with it great career opportunities for our internal teams.”
Rivus believes that by combining its expertise with Pullmans HGV experience, it will help customers, partners, and suppliers by providing its fleet expertise all in one place.
Myers continued: “We can be at the forefront of fleet management, delivering a one stop shop, which helps our customers save time and money.
“We’re making it easier for people to do business with us and we can support them by making operational improvements, minimising vehicle downtime, improving fleet efficiency and proactively solving problems using advanced data analytics.”
Rivus will have more than 1,300 employees, manage around 200,000 service bookings each year and operate from 80 sites nationwide through its LCV and HGV combined garage network, with in excess of 500 Rivus Approved Garage Partners and a UK-wide team of mobile technicians.
Speaking to Commercial Fleet in December, Aurelius revealed it could be adding to its portfolio of fleet-related providers after revealing talks were “well-advanced” with several companies.
Over the past decade, Aurelius Group has invested in more than 100 companies across Europe, with its current portfolio employing more than 12,500 people, generating combined annual revenues in excess of £3 billion.
Tristan Nagler, a partner at Aurelius UK, said he was excited at being able to bring “strategically interesting” businesses together.
“The couple of deals we’ve done won’t be the only ones, we hope there’ll be many more,” he said.
