Learn the basics of fleet management at the UK’s leading fleet and mobility event

Seminar sessions aimed at those working in the HR, benefits, finance and procurement sectors who also have responsibility for taking care of company car and van drivers will be held at this year’s Fleet & Mobility Live.

The UK’s leading event for fleets will take place at the NEC, Birmingham, on October 8 and 9 and provides a unique opportunity to engage and connect with the fleet community.

It helps facilitate access to the best knowledge, learning and peer groups across the sector, helping fleets connect, learn, share and discover new ways to improve their business operations.

Content for a series of best practice and strategy sessions at this year’s free-to-attend event has been developed by the two-day event’s visitor advisory board (VAB) which is made up of HR and fleet professionals (see below), whose fleets range from fewer than 100 vehicles to more than 1,000.

This year the event will have three theatres delivering best-in-class content including the Fleet Matrix Theatre, which is aimed at HR, finance and procurement professionals, and will recognise that fleet responsibilities can be part of other departments across an organisation.

Sessions in the Fleet Matrix Theatre will include:

• Offering cars as a recruitment and retention tool 
• Managing a grey fleet 
• Engaging stakeholders within the business 
• A fleet decision-maker's legal obligations 

The Association of Fleet Professions (AFP) will also run a session on understanding the basics of fleet management.

Other theatres at the event are Fleet Fundamentals Theatre which will look at some of the everyday basics of running a fleet, such as safety, compliance and electrification and the Strategy & Leadership Theatre which will focus on areas of the sector having the greatest effect on the way fleets operate, offering advice and insight to give fleet decision-makers the confidence to make the right decisions and form the best strategies.
