Clancy Group, Dundee City Council and 101 Pet Express were all highlighted as the “best of the best” van operators at Logistics UK’s Van Awards 2024.
The winners were announced at a celebratory lunch at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham on Friday (September 13).
The UK’s "most pioneering" van businesses were shortlisted across five categories and the winners are:
- Clancy Group - Diversity and Inclusion Award sponsored by Webfleet
- 101 Pet Express - Keeping Your Show on the Road sponsored by The AA - Business Services
- Octopus Electroverse - Innovative Van Business of the Year sponsored by ClearQuote
- Dundee City Council - Van Decarbonisation Award sponsored by Lex Autolease
- Red Corporate Driver Training - Van Safety and Compliance Award sponsored by Brigade Electronics UK
Kevin Green, director of policy and communications at Logistics UK, said: “The competition was fierce this year and being selected as a finalist is a great achievement itself.
“There are 3.4 million people employed across industries ranging from engineering and construction to emergency and rescue services that rely on a van for their job, so it is impossible to understate the contribution the sector makes to all our lives and the broader economy.”
Red Corporate Driver Training won the Van Safety and Compliance Award at Logistics UK’s Van Awards 2024. Head of corporate, Greg Ford, said: “We’re delighted to have won this prestigious award which recognises the innovative approach we are taking to fleet safety with our SafetyFirst platform.
“It’s always nice to receive external confirmation that what we are doing is making a real difference to fleet operators and their drivers by improving compliance and reducing risk for our clients.”
SafetyFirst is an online platform that supports fleet management of driver risk and training, and provides employers, fleet decision-makers and drivers with a cloud-based support system on desktop, tablet or mobile.
All winners of Logistics UK's Van Awards will be shortlisted for the Van Business of the Year category at the Logistics UK Logistics Awards 2024, which will be taking place on December 12 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.
