Nissan’s new Leaf e+ Tekna electric vehicle, which offers a range of up to 239 miles, has gone on sale priced from £35,985 (including £3,500 Government grant).
The Leaf e+ uses a 62kWh battery pack which offers 55% more capacity and approximately 25% improvement in energy density while retaining a similar shape and size to the 40kWh Leaf battery in other models.
The new battery has led to a 5mm increase in the car’s overall height.
The Leaf will also continue to be available with a 40kWh battery, which offers a range of 168 miles.
