Cupra has added an eHybrid powertrain option to the new Formentor, its first standalone model.
The Formentor eHybrid is priced from £35,770 and offers CO2 emissions of 27g/km. Coupled with its 37-mile zero-emission range, the new model attracts 11% benefit-in-kind tax this year.
It uses the familiar VW Group 1.4-litre TSI plug-in hybrid powertrain, which is found in numerous models including the Audi A3 and VW Passat GTE.
In the Formentor the powertrain serves up 204PS, which provides a 0-62mph acceleration time of 7.8 seconds.
Two versions are available, the V1 or V2. As standard, V1 trim equips the Formentor with 18-inch black and silver alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, LED headlights, a digital cockpit and 12-inch infotainment screen with satnav, interior ambient lighting, sports seats with copper stitching, rear parking sensors, Adaptive Cruise Control, keyless entry and high beam assist.
V2 adds 19-inch matte black and silver alloy wheels, nappa leather upholstery, heated front seats, power driver seat with memory function, leather dashboard, heated steering wheel, front parking sensors and a reversing camera.
The V2 is priced from £37,600, when specified with the eHybrid.
