James Taylor will take the helm at Vauxhall on an interim basis, while also continuing in his role as UK director for B2B at Stellantis.
Taylor takes over from Paul Wilcox, who was promoted to lead the UK market at Stellantis in May, replacing Alison Jones who moved to a global role.
Taylor told Fleet News: ““Whilst Paul Willcox takes on his new role in the wider Stellantis UK organisation, I take the additional responsibility of leading the Vauxhall team, on an interim basis, in addition to my role as B2B director.
“Richard Roberts will also take over the additional responsibility on an interim basis of Vauxhall fleet director in addition to his current role as head of rental.”
Stellantis restructured its fleet sales operations at the start of the year to provide improved interaction between its brands, under the leadership of Taylor.
The changes meant that large fleets, leasing and rental companies, and specialist fleets will now be managed at group level, giving them access to all the brands under the Stellantis umbrella.
Smaller fleets and SMEs will still interact with the group at brand level, although Stellantis said at the time that a greater focus on inter-brand fluidity was being enabled via the new structure.
Three fleet directors manage the existing Stellantis brand groups. FCA brands Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Fiat and Jeep will be managed by Laurence Hagger, former head of used cars, remarketing, rental, contract hire and leasing at FCA.
Iain Montgomery, former FCA fleet director, has taken over as fleet director of the Peugeot, Citroen and DS brands.
Roberts is taking on the fleet director role for Vauxhall on an interim basis.
The fleet directors are setting the direction for their respective brands, but management and liaison with individual customers is being done on a Stellantis basis.
Each team has a regional fleet manager that reports into the fleet directors.
Willcox has overall responsibility in the UK for the Stellantis brands of Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroen, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Abarth, Jeep and Alfa Romeo.
