Tesla’s updated Model 3 has gone on sale with pricing starting from £39,990 for the standard rear-wheel drive model.
This offers a longer range – now 318 miles (WTLP) – than its predecessor, an improvement also shared by the revised Model 3 Long Range.
This will manage 391 miles (WLTP) between charges and will start from £49,990.
Both variants, which use powertrains carried over from the old model, are available to order now with deliveries beginning in January next year.
The facelifted car also benefits from a sharper look and improved refinement.
A refreshed front-end is the most noticeable exterior change, with the sleeker profile said to improve aerodynamics.
Wheels have been redesigned and paired with noise- and range-optimised tyres.
The car retains its uncluttered cabin layout and glass roof. The central 15.4-inch touchscreen has been enhanced and a second 8.0-inch display is installed in the rear, enabling passengers to control the climate and infotainment functions.
The cabin also features dual wireless phone chargers and two rear USB-C charging ports, each with up to 65W of power.
Tesla has removed the indicator and wiper stalks from the steering column and integrated them into the steering wheel controls.
Higher-grade materials are now used inside, giving a more premium feel to the car. Tesla has also introduced ventilated front seats and customisable ambient lighting.
Rear passengers now have access to a new eight-inch rear display with integrated climate control, ventilation, and entertainment. More will come in the future, with OTA updates.
Charging speeds are 170kW for the Rear-Wheel Drive and 250kW for the Long-Range AWD.
