Cary Group has acquired Masterglass Windscreens, which trades as Autoglazing, to strengthen its presence in a high-demand region.

The acquisition of the Cambridge-based automotive glass specialist will extend the capacity of National Windscreens (Cary UK’s trading name) to serve customers throughout East Anglia.

Stuart Boon, managing director of Cary UK, said: “Autoglazing is a well-established provider of automotive vehicle glass, repair, replacement and ADAS calibration services in East Anglia.

“By integrating Autoglazing into our network, we enhance our ability to meet increasing demand, particularly in the insurance and fleet sector, where our organic growth has already positioned us as a trusted provider.”

He added: “Customers in East Anglia will continue to experience the high standards of service to which they are accustomed, with the added expertise and support of the wider National Windscreens network.”

Andrew Hodge, the entrepreneur responsible for growing Autoglazing over the past 30 years, will join National Windscreens as national fleet account director.

He brings a wealth of experience to National Windscreens, including 17 years in sales and commercial roles in this sector.

He said: “We are delighted to join forces with the Cary Group.

“The professionalism and service delivery that they are bringing to the UK marketplace is outstanding. We are proud to be associated with this progressive and innovative company. The future is looking incredibly positive.”

Karl Locke will become managing director of Autoglazing. He has held operational and leadership roles at Autoglazing for the past 23 years and will now lead the integration of Autoglazing into National Windscreens network.

Boon concluded: “We are looking forward to bringing the teams closer together and building on our strengths.

“This is an exciting time for the whole UK business and we will be working with Karl and his team to support them in every way as they become an integral part of Cary Group.”

National Windscreens operates more than 100 fitting centres and employs 800-plus mobile technicians.
