Chevin Fleet Solutions is to attend the ‘Commercial Fleet Van & Truck’ event in September.
Chevin will be at the event to discuss and demonstrate how its software can be used to increase cost control and compliance over nearly every aspect of fleet, asset and maintenance management.
With commercial fleets arguably having the most expensive assets to manage, paired with the toughest compliance, it is vital for them to have a solution in place to ensure their legal and regulatory responsibilities are met, and their operational costs are fully visible.
“Many organisations are still using whiteboards, spreadsheets, paper or inadequate software and are overwhelmed by the amount of work involved in administration,” explains David Gladding, UK Sales Director, Chevin Fleet Solutions.
“Our enterprise-level software, FleetWave, allows commercial operations to easily view all this information in a single location, and turn the data into meaningful, easily-interpretable information.
“It can then be used to highlight inefficiencies and costs, report on performance and automate the workload.”
One of the products and services on display at the event will be Chevin’s real-time driving licence checking service:
“This service automates the checking of employees’ driving licences by connecting with the DVLA database, to determine whether drivers are legally entitled to operate company vehicles. It also alerts organisations to incurred penalty points and offences,” says David. “This helps business carry our driver risk profiling and completely removes the administration involved in manual driver licence checking.”
FleetWave also has a module aimed at businesses with their own workshops, which is designed to help reduce downtime of business-critical vehicles and increase maintenance turn-around. As well as supporting workshop loading and efficient scheduling of jobs, an additional touch screen enabled add-on is available for technicians to login to their assigned tasks on the workshop floor.
In addition, Chevin’s mobile app, FleetWave Mobile, can be used by drivers to perform daily vehicle inspections and capture defects which can be raised as jobs in the maintenance or workshop module.
“This is a very useful tool for meeting compliance on accreditation such as FORS,” says David. “There really is an endless amount of ways that FleetWave can help organisations take control of their fleet, and we look forward to demonstrating all these features in more detail to visitors at this year’s show.”
Commercial Fleet Van & Truck takes place at the Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire from 20-21 September 2016.
