FMS Integrated Building Services has reduces speeding and fleet costs using driver behaviour analysis from Trakm8.
The facilities management company has a fleet of nine vans, all of which have been equipped with Trakm8 Prime.
Following a successful 30-day trial the business has adopted the new system permanently.
“We have seen a marked decrease in incidences of speeding. There has also been a significant increase in the life span of the van brake pads, as our engineers are driving much more smoothly now, said Katie Morris, helpdesk manager at FMS.
Along with providing real-time vehicle tracking, Trakm8 Prime also monitors driving style. It creates a unique scorecard for each driver and journey, based on factors such as speeding, sharp cornering, harsh acceleration and heavy braking.
“When we started, their driver scores probably average in the low 60s; now they are in the mid-80s,” Morris added.
The business uses vehicle tracking to verify its engineer’s time sheets. It also enables the business to manage emergency call-outs.
Trakm8 Prime is priced at £12.99 or less per vehicle per month and is available for a 30-day free trial.
