A new 28-acre site is being developed by City Auction Group to house the headquarters of its logistics business, PurpleRock.
It will also expand its capacity with a further 5,000 vehicles, across defleet, logistics and secure storage, for launch in September.
Located off the A1, north of Peterborough, this new facility will offer secured and in-life managed storage prior to vehicle preparation and inspection, together with valet standards; vehicle repair (both cosmetic and mechanical); AI 360 video and digital imagery; and final movement by PurpleRock, via full load transporter, or single move handover.
Michael Tomalin, CEO of City Auction Group, said: “This is a game changer for the business, further expanding our UK footprint.

PurpleRock provides vehicle defleet, logistics and repair solutions, based at 12 locations providing nationwide coverage.
Major hub centres located in Peterborough and Belfast with storage capabilities of more than 10,000 vehicles, inspection services to, CarScanner 360 video technology, vehicle refinishing services, secure managed storage compounds and in-life management.
