Chinese car brand Omoda will officially launch in the UK in March 2024, with an initial network of 50 retail and aftersales partners.
The first franchise partners – Endeavour Automotive, Listers and Peter Vardy – have already committed to the brand. By the end of 2024, Omoda expects to have 100 UK locations.
Omoda’s first model to go on sale will be the 5 SUV, offered with petrol or electric powertrains. All Omoda 5 models will come with a seven-year/100,000-mile warranty.
The electric Omoda 5 is expected to have a range of 280 miles.
Pricing for the petrol-powered Omoda 5 starts at £24,000. The electric version is likely to cost around £5,000 more.
Chen Chunqing, CEO of Omoda UK, said: "Omoda's entry into the UK vehicle market is taking shape with a comprehensive network of retail and aftersales outlets located at key urban areas throughout the United Kingdom.
“With the launch of our exciting, young, and futuristic Omoda models drawing near, we're looking forward to announcing our launch date and additional retail locations in the coming months.”
