Gary Black, winner of the coveted Fleet News Fleet Manager of the Year title in 2008, has joined Sandicliffe Motor Contracts as its head of sales support.
Black, who previously managed Inspired Gaming’s fleet of 1,500 vehicles, helped them move their fleet operations over to Sandicliffe Motor Contracts following a fully outsourced agreement with the East Midlands company earlier this year.
“We’re delighted that Gary has decided to join our team,” said Gary Benfield, managing director of Sandicliffe Motor Contracts.
“Gary was instrumental in transitioning the Inspired Gaming contract over to Sandicliffe Motor Contracts and we are excited to be able to bring his expertise into our business in the role of sales support manager.
“Not only does he know everything about their fleet, he had also built a great relationship with our teams here, having introduced Inspired Gaming to us back in 2009.
“We saw the great wealth of understanding Gary has of the fleet sector, and most importantly from the perspective of the customer, and we jumped at the chance to make use of such a valuable asset and welcome him to the team.”
Working closely with the sales co-ordinators, Black makes sure all customer queries and vehicle quotes are turned around quickly, accurately and offer the best options for their customers.
“In the end it wasn’t a difficult decision to move to Sandicliffe Motor Contracts,” explained Black.
“Although, I had worked for Inspired Gaming for over 20 years, progressing through the ranks from maintenance controller to fleet manager, I had seen first-hand the level of support Sandicliffe Motor Contracts offered fleet managers like myself.
“I saw it as a great opportunity to use my experience to help other businesses get the most from their fleet provider, whether that be contract hire or some of the more in-depth fleet management support we offer.
“I look forward to this next exciting chapter of my career with Sandicliffe.”
Sandicliffe Motor Contracts is an independent contract hire, vehicle leasing and fleet management company with its head office in Long Eaton, between Nottingham and Derby.
