Logistics company Transmec UK has further strengthened its senior team with the appointment of a new transport manager.

Graham Astle, who is based at Transmec UK’s West Thurrock depot, will be responsible for overseeing lorry movements and maximising the efficiency of Transmec’s UK operation.

In partnership with the company’s European control centre in Romania, he will also manage Transmec’s network of European drivers whilst they are operating in the UK.

“Graham is an experienced logistics professional and he brings a wealth of relevant expertise to our business,” said John Simkins, Transmec UK’s general manager. “As we continue to expand our UK operations, Graham will be instrumental in helping us deliver a fast, reliable service to customers.”

Formerly employed by Stobart, where he spent four years as a transport manager, Graham has worked in the transport sector for more than 16 years.
