The Freight Transport Association’s Member Advice Centre (MAC) has expanded with the recruitment of three new transport advisors.
The most recent additions to the team are Hannah Fairfield, Laura Edwards and Alan Rose, who joined FTA in May. All three are now actively taking supervised calls as part of their induction and training programme, responding to members’ enquiries via telephone and email.
The MAC is a free telephone service for FTA members, providing access to a team of transport advisors with unparalleled knowledge and experience, offering expert advice and answers to legal and operational questions on anycompliance issues, from drivers' hours and working time through to vehicle maintenance standards and current legislation.
The team provides immediate answers to most questions, as well as briefings on legislative and operational matters and information on and assistance with a variety of issues.
Es Shepherd, head of FTA Member Advice, said: “Our commitment is to deliver the highest possible level of service to our members and our new staff will be a great addition to the team. Their initial training will continue for several more months and then, as with the rest of the Member Advice Team, continue into the future as there is always something new to learn.”
