Alphabet has again been recognised as one of the UK’s leading employers by the Top Employers Institute.
The internationally-recognised accolade was awarded to the company for the fourth year running, at the Guildhall in London.
The fleet leasing, business travel and mobility specialist, based in Farnborough has more than 400 employees who manage 156,000 company cars and light commercial vehicles for some of the UK’s largest Corporate, SME and Public Sector organisations.
Adam Lupton, HR director at Alphabet (pictured) said: “Last year we relocated all of our 400 plus employees to our new home at Farnborough and the fact we’ve been recognised again as a Top Employer shows how well we have settled in and how smooth the transition has been to a new working environment and culture.”
The Top Employers Institute assessed Alphabet’s approach in key areas including talent strategy, on-boarding, learning and development, performance management, leadership, career management, compensation and benefits, as well as cultural development.
“Companies are all at different stages of their HR journey, but to be eligible for certification they must have all the basics. They want to be assessed against established HR best practice and get affirmation of how well they compare with other companies. It’s a very rigorous process which some companies can find challenging, but there are a number of positives that come with being certified,” said James Gooding, director of UK Operations for the Top Employers Institute.
