Axis Fleet Management has announced the appointment of Andy Turner as its new operations director, bringing with him more than 35 years of experience within the commercial vehicle industry.
He spent 27 of those years with MAN Truck & Bus UK where he held a number of senior positions, predominately within its aftersales division.
In his new role, he will be responsible for overall business operations, focused on further enhancing the high level of customer servicing standards within Axis to help it continue to grow its market share in the UK.
His appointment comes on the back of extensive investment by the company, including its appointment of five new regional business development managers who were welcomed to the team earlier in the summer.
Mick Ledden, managing director of Axis Fleet Management, said: “We’re very excited to have someone of Andy’s experience and reputation joining the business in this senior leadership role.
“His extensive specialist knowledge of repair and maintenance processes and fleet management systems will be significant in further establishing Axis as a world class provider of fleet management services.
“This new appointment is part of our on-going investment to deliver on our strategic vision and grow our business by providing customer-focused, value-added solutions within the UK fleet hire and management sector.”
Commenting on his appointment, Turner said: “I’m delighted to join the Axis team. This is an exciting opportunity where I look forward to developing key operational objectives to ensure we continue to provide the highest level of service to our customers.”
Oxfordshire-headquartered Axis Fleet Management specialises in long-term contract hire and fleet management services, operating over 3000 assets including trucks, trailers, and rigids.
