Scania dealer TruckEast has appointed a new general manager, Matthew Lee, to head up one of its largest branches in Wellingborough.
Lee (pictured) brings 30 years’ experience in automotive and over 10 years in commercial. He recently ran the Wellingborough workshop for competitor, Volvo Truck and Bus.
He will be responsible for over 70 employees, heading up its service, parts and bodyshop divisions and running the branch’s 24 hour, 14 bay workshop.
Lee said: “Upon joining TruckEast, I quickly understood what makes them so special. It is the people and their passion for Scania, their customers and the business itself.
“They already have a strong team, one that made me feel very welcome. This along with a loyal customer base gives a great platform for development.
“My focus has always been on providing the best solution to my customer base, this means the best support with minimal impact on their business.
“Customer satisfaction will be at the forefront of everything that we do; enabling the business to continue to prosper and invest in our customers’ success.”
TruckEast’s regional aftersales director Graham Broughton said: “Matthew has a wealth of experience from across the industry working with premium brands such as ourselves and is a welcome addition to the team.
"We wish him every success for the future and look forward to the growth we can accomplish together.”
