Peugeot has expanded the 3008 line-up with a new plug-in hybrid powertrain.
It joins the existing petrol hybrid option and the electric E-3008.
The new plug-in hybrid uses a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine combined with an electric motor and 21kWh battery.
It has a zero-emission range of 52 miles, placing the car in the 8% benefit-in-kind (BiK) tax bracket.
Total power output is 195PS, giving a 0-62mph acceleration time of 7.8 seconds.
The car is equipped with a 3.7kW on-board charger, as standard, which takes 5.5 hours to fully charge the battery. An option 7.4kW charger can be specified, cutting the charge time to 2.75 hours.
Peugeot also offers the powertrain on the larger 5008.
The new 3008 plug-in hybrid will be available in Allure trim from £40,650 and in GT trim from £44,450, with the first customer deliveries anticipated for early 2025.
